What to do in London: Leicester Square

If you're spending some time in this fantastic city that I am lucky enough to call home, I'd recommend jumping on the Piccadilly line and getting out at Leicester Square where you will find yourself surrounded by an endless list of things to do.
If you... love to read then this destination is absolutely perfect for you! There are a number of used bookshops where you can pick up paperbacks for only a couple of pounds. You will find yourself surrounded by a mountain of books on every single subject, yearning to learn something new. My personal favourite is Any Amount of Books which is only 50 yards from Leicester Square station! But we can't forget about Foyles, the legendary five-storey independent bookshop where you could find absolutely anything. It's definitely worth a visit!
If you... love art then the National Portrait Gallery is somewhere that you should probably visit. Full of gorgeous work that you could stare at for hours, the art is so refreshing. Something I would recommend is the BP Portrait Awards 2017 which showcases work from current, contemporary artists. Unfortunately, it is only available until 24th September so visit soon!
If you... love to shop then head down to Covent Garden where you will find yourself surrounded by designer shops as well as the classic high street brands. From Dior to Burberry and from Brandy Melville to Urban Outfitters, it is one of London's favourite shopping destinations. If you love vintage clothes, Rokit is the place for you! They've got pieces from every single decade, each being incredibly unique and easily tailored to your style.
If you... love the theatre, you've come to the right place. The West End is known all around the world to put on the very best. If you love musicals, my favourites are The School of Rock and Wicked. But if plays are more your thing, I've heard from friends that Hamlet and The Play that Goes Wrong are brilliant.
